  • About The Artist painter, born 1895, Poland. Jankel Adler was a Jewish artist, many of his paintings were of Jewish subjects. In 1922 he settled in Dusseldorf where he became a leading figure on the art scene. He made contact with Paul Klee. In 1933 he moved to France where he came under the influence of Picasso. In 1941 he settled in England and died in London in 1949.
